Online Members Event to Feature Trailblazers in Hemp Building and Design

The US trade association for hemp building will host an online members-only event Saturday, May 13 featuring some of the top hemp builders and designers in the United States.

The US Hemp Building Association’s yearly member event allows members to network and ask questions from pros and suppliers in the field.
This year, the event will host a “Best Hemp Structure” contest, for the audience to vote for the most impressive hemp structure built in the past year. Entrants will be posted on the USHBA “Hemp Structures Map.” The contest is a celebration of “more hemp homes being built in the United States than ever before,” the association said.
Additionally, attendees will hear from two panels of experts, including one panel of designers and engineers and one panel of builders.
Former USHBA executive director Jacob Waddell from the Hemp Building Institute will provide a report on the campaigns to acquire approval for hemp building materials in US building codes. Vice President Ryan Doherty will give an overview of the national hemp supply chain. The event will also provide an update on the association’s plans going forward.
Speakers planned for the USHBA online event hosted May 13, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. ET.
“We are always trying to provide value for our members, and these yearly events make membership worth it,” said the association.
